Hi There I’m Sophie

I'm your facilitator for Sacred Women's Retreats and friend, I created this space because I've constantly been searching for something, longing for something that was so far away from me, connection and sisterhood - I have joined various groups and just never felt like I fit in, my self-sabotage took over of I'm not this, I'm not that and constantly felt like I was too much, it was extremely challenging to overcome, but when your world is constantly flipped on its head, it's not hard to feel that uncertainty. I wanted Sacred Women's Retreats to be more than just another women's group, I wanted to create that space for you to already come and be home, that space that I've been searching for.

A space of vulnerability friendship and place to just be you

Over the years, I've engaged in a wide range of studies from a Journalism degree, which is my full time career to Reiki Energy healing and meditation courses. I was also a travel agent at one stage.

As a solo mum, I've had to wear many caps and adapt to many situations. As an antidote to life’s challenges, I want to inspire others and help create and awaken their potential - whatever that looks like for you. I'm compassionate and love to help others (maybe a little too much) but my heart is big and I believe the people who are meant to be here - will be here.

As a healer, I've developed a level of purity and grace that brings a caring, nurturing energy in my healing practice. I build relationships that are authentic and safe, and I value the same back. I am forever unlearning and learning.

    WORKSHOP INSTRUCTOR

    My love for all things creative drove me to start Lisa Leahy art. I love painting with watercolour and acrylic, and now get to share this passion with others while hosting sip and paint parties. Outside of painting I love spending time with my family and exploring the world. Bring me adventures filled with fun, food and wine! I look forward to working with Sophie and yourselves to bring a mindful practise of art to your retreat.

    YOGA TEACHER

    I recently opened a new Yoga, Fitness and Well-being support Studio in central Wodonga called Mysa Movement. After teaching Yoga and Yoga Shred classes to gym’s in Albury and Wodonga before, during and after COVID-19, I found people were wanting a way to bring connection back into their lives again. Connection back to themselves and others. I’ve always been passionate about the benefits of combing Fitness with Yoga and how they really do complement each other. I love being able to provide Yoga to people that wouldn’t normally step foot into a traditional Yoga studio, even if they are complete beginners and may feel they are unfit or not flexible. I’m looking forward to meeting you all on the retreat and can’t wait to take this journey together.

    SOUND HEALER

    I love running personal development seminars, attending monthly Shamanic drumming workshops or reading a good book. I also enjoys bush walking, travel and spending time with my family.

    I pride myself on being compassionate and offer a range of different modalities including breathwork, cacao ceremony and sound immersions.

    YOGA TEACHER/GUEST SPEAKER

    I am a certified Personal trainer, yoga and Pilates instructor, veterinary nurse and a body transformation specialist. I am also currently studying to be a qualified Integrative Health Practitioner. I am passionate about helping women as I struggled with body image growing up as I was bullied. I was known as "the tall girl" and couldn't look at my body in the mirror after I rapidly started gaining weight in my high school years. With running my own female gym for 5 years I have helped 100s of women feel confident in their own skin. Teaching them safe techniques in the gym and how to have fun in life again. I am a big believer in enjoying the journey and surrounding yourself with like minded women who lift each other up.
